1. Remember How It Feels To Be Loved
When we recall moments of love from the past, we open ourselves to receive more.
According to the Universal Law of Attraction, what we focus on expands.
Reflection Point:
Think of a moment when you felt truly loved.
Let yourself savour it.
Affirm: I allow myself to reflect on the many moments I felt loved.
My Experience:
Milkshake the cat came into our lives when I was unwell. I didn’t want any animals to care for, but my stepdaughter brought him home.
He wasn’t allowed in the bedroom, but he sat at the door, watching me. Eventually, I invited him in. He curled around my feet the entire time I was sick. I felt so comforted and loved. From that moment on, Milkshake was spoiled—and so was I. We both manifested more love.
2. Uplift Your Thoughts
Your thoughts shape the size of the funnel through which love flows.
If your thoughts feel heavy or fearful, they may be blocking love.
Reflection Point:
Choose one thought that doesn’t serve you.
You can change it—and feel better inside.
Affirm: I release fears and barriers and allow myself to change my thoughts, so I feel better inside.
My Experience:
I once thought, “I’m not a very good businesswoman.” That didn’t align with my intention to serve others with confidence and love. Using the Clockface Technique, I shifted that thought—and now I focus only on the love I bring.
3. Update Your Beliefs
Beliefs are simply thoughts you keep thinking.
That means they’re not fixed—they can be changed.
Reflection Point:
Think of one belief that doesn’t support your wellbeing.
Are you ready to let it go?
Steps to Transform Your Belief:
- Check out the Clockface Technique, to determine the belief you’d rather have.
- Write it on small pieces of paper and place them where you’ll see them often.

Repeat the new belief regularly.
Affirm: I open myself up to allow beliefs that serve me in a loving way.
My Experience:
When I feel my energy dip, I ask my Higher Self: “What’s going on here?”
Sometimes the answer is simple: “You need a nap.” 😊
4. People Give Love in the Way They Like To Receive Love
Understanding this changed everything for me.
It helped me stop misinterpreting others’ actions and start appreciating their unique ways of loving.
Reflection Point:
Take a moment to reflect on the way different people love you. Notice the little things – they matter.
Affirm: I allow others to love in their own unique way.
My Experience:
My husband Shane’s family is very different from mine. In my family, we anticipated each other’s needs—it was our way of showing love. But Shane prefers space and clear boundaries. I’ve learned to honour that. Now, when he says, “Stop anticipating!” I smile. It’s become a loving joke between us.
5. Consciously Allow Love
The first time I consciously allowed love, I dedicated a day to it.
I imagined sending love to everyone I encountered—and the results were magical.
My Experience:
That day, I received unexpected smiles, two takeaway coffees from clients, and people wandering to my desk saying, “I don’t know why I’m here!”
I’d say, “That’s because I sent love to you this morning.”
It was always received with a smile.
Affirm: I consciously allow love to flow to and through me.
6. Love people for who they are, not who you want them to be
Trying to change others creates resistance.
Giving people permission to be themselves softens your energy—and theirs.
Reflection Point:
Is there someone in your life you find challenging?
Mentally say to their soul: “I give you permission to be who you are. I love you for who you are.”
Affirm: I allow others to love in their own unique way.
My Experience:
When Shane was angry, I used to resist it. One day, I said, “Go for it, hon—you can get angry!”
His anger dissolved instantly.
Giving him permission to feel what he felt changed everything.
7. Forgive People
Forgiveness isn’t about condoning bad behaviour—it’s about freeing your heart.
It releases the emotional cords that weigh you down.
If you’re carrying pain from the past, you may need support to forgive.
