the secret to higher communications

Choose peace no matter how another is behaving!

Do you ever feel as if your emotions could be handled better?  Do you have a tendency towards irritation or even anger at another’s behaviour?  Is there someone in your life who triggers strong emotions within you?

Reflection Point:   It is the inner work which you do which brings back your power, and creates the feeling of calm inside.  Blame has no value in the journey of your evolution.  Forgiveness is priority.  Forgiveness of yourself and forgiveness of others.

Bring back your power

To bring back your power, and feel calm inside, it is you who needs to make a change to evolve. 

When I first discovered this understanding, I set about researching what change I must create within me, in the hope I would learn how!  I learnt the following process from a book called Spiritual Growth by Sanaya Roman.   

This understanding changed my life, and I hope to help you too.  This article will show you how.

Love people for who they are and not

who you want them to be.

The moments I find myself irritated or upset by another, it helps knowing that I must love people for who they are and not who I want them to be.  Once we are hurt, we can become protective and closed, wanting to be sure we are not going to be hurt again.  That doesn’t work.

Now is the time to ask the higher part of you, your Higher Self…

 How am I contributing to this turbulence?

 And after reflecting on the answer, ask…

How can I change?

As soon as I stop making the other person wrong, and allow guidance with my Higher Self, I am able to become more loving and accepting.   When another person is triggering strong emotions within me, they actually need my love, not me withholding it.

View the situation with an elevated level

When we observe others with an understanding that they are acting or responding from a place of emotional pain, or a limited perspective, we are more easily able to put aside judgments of their actions and instead consciously view the situation from an elevated level. 

From this elevated perspective we are able to give our love and understanding.  We can more easily forgive – and that creates change.

Reflection Point:   Imagine a future probable event where you emotions are likely to trigger a painful or negative feeling inside.  You are going to plan ahead on how to put this wisdom into practice. 

Let's practice now:

  1. Relax, taking a few deep breaths.
  2. Affirm “I intend to connect with my Higher Self”
  3. Your higher self is with you, you are safe.
  4. Recall the probable future event where your emotions are likely to be triggered.
  5. Observe this person’s behaviour, imagine seeing their pain, or limited perspective.
  6. Ask your Higher Self :  How am I contributing to this turbulence?
  7. Give yourself time to reflect on this answer, then ask:
  8. How can I change?
  9. Imagine you making this change recommended by your higher self
  10. Use your imagination to finish this future memory having an improved outcome and better feelings inside.

When the time comes, you will be ready.

My experience

I have practiced this on many occasions especially when it comes to my beloved husband Shane.  We are both sensitive souls, and he can find himself all caught up with negative thoughts at times which affects his mood and I struggle with that at times.  

It's easier to see his fault than mine!

When I learnt the practice, I tried it immediately on Shane (my favourite subject) when he comes home in a grouchy mood.  After going through the process, I realised that I was no Angel in this scenario and contributed very considerably, not necessarily by my words, but my thoughts, body language and the way my energy reacts at that time.  I find this subject fascinating, because those times when once he would come home grouchy, his mood is lighter now.   I seem to have an elevated perspective now and that change has helped us both.   

I taught this process in my "Align Your Energy Workshop" and below is Tina's story.

Client Case Study - Tina and Paul

During a meditation at the workshop I had the class imagine a probable furture situation which is likely to trigger a negative emotion and going through the process above, Tina realised that she was contributing to the emotional discomfort and the heavy feeling.

She and Paul had previously arranged that all computer useage would cease by a certain time in the evening and they were to have their special hug time together on the lounge.  When he would ignore this arrangement it would erk her and she normally would say something which probably wanted him to stay on the computer more.

So she changed her probable response and when the time came, instead of her usual reaction, she got the giggles.  She burst out laughing and couldn't stop.  She said it was hillarious!  She actually pretended she was reading a funny message on her mobile because she didn't wish to reveal why she was laughing so heartily with no apparent reason!  The energy in the room lifted, and Paul logged off and sat on the lounge with her for their hug.

You have the power to change situations

Providing you are open to understand how you contribute to the turbulance, and make the change you need to evolve, your situations will change.   Your higher self will help by guiding you to what that change is, to love and look after you.  After all, your happiness is the greatest gift you can give to yourself and others.
